OMG...so I'm totally showing my age but HELLO....The New Kids on the Block are going back out on tour. How exciting is that!! I LOVED those guys when I was little. And of course I'm coming clean now b/c any family of mine that reads this will totally comment and rat me out. Yes i had the dolls, the sleeping bag, all the cassettes. If they had it out...I owned it. I'm not afraid to admit it. But I had best do it first. LOL
Anyways....so my mission...to get me tickets to that tour!

My first knitting project in a long time!!
So I've been trying to find some things to do lately to keep my mind busy. So with my sisters new knitting blog up and running I thought oh what the heck I'd just go ahead and do something and my sister knows how I'm not exactly blessed in the knitting dept I thought the easiest thing for me would be a scarf. So to prove to my sister that I'm actually doing it and haven't messed it up yet. I'm posting a pic of it and I hope really to have it done by tomorrow or the next day. She says knitting is an addiction and honestly this one has been. Though my sister is kinda crazy she knitted like 20 scarfs while sitting in the hospital when my brother-in-law had open heart surgery. SO even though I know I couldn't knit off like 20 scarfs in a short time like she did I'm just impressed I 'm getting one done within a few weeks...lol So here it is......

My kids...born comedians.
For anyone who really knows my family they will know that my children are surrounded by entertainers. We all have quite the personalities and love a good laugh on a daily basis. So my children were bound to have it in them. So here are two funny stories that I thought I'd share.
Story #1
My son is into EVERYTHING all the time. Even at 5 yrs old he's never quite gotten over the whole I need to have my nose in everything stage. He wants to know how everything works, what things are on the ground, he picks up and has to touch everything. So really when this incident happened it didn't surprise. We all went to Fort Wayne to pick out a kitchen for Gracie for her birthday. Well as we were getting out of the vehicle Grant sits directly behind me on my side and Gracie on the other so I jump out of the Durango and then turn around and put my foot on the running board so that I can tie my show. I see Grant get out and bend down and look something on the ground. Then I hear him "eew gross" and I see him throw something back on the ground. I immediately shut my door and ask him what h was doing and if he had picked up a cigarette butt that was laying on the ground not to far from him. He looked at me and said, "yes I did.....I thought it was a white crayon." LOL Ok seriously...apparently my son is so desperate for a white crayon he's willing pick up a nasty cigarette butt to get one. He's a NUT!
Story #2
Anybody that knows Gracie they know the way to her heart is food. She will eat non-stop if you let her. SO the other day she was walking in the kitchen and over to the kitchen door and by the door we had a bird feeder sitting on the couch b/c when Grant had made it in preschool it was wwaaayyyy to cold to hang it up so we left it right there so the minute it got warm enough would go hang it. Well Gracie ran a crossed it and I caught her carrying it around trying to bite through the ziplock bag it was in to eat. Did I mention it happened to be made out of a bagel, peanut butter, and bird seed. LOL She just saw the bagel I'm sure and went for it. So needless to say that when I go hang it up this week it'll be missing a bite from it.

A fresh start....
Ok so because blogger would not let me post in my other blog I start a whole new one.....so let's see if I can cut and paste...
Wow....a long time.
Has it really been this long since i last posted or do I have two blogs and don't it...lol I'm thinking I have two blogs. Anyways....alot has changed in my life...my little man just turned 5 and my youngest is about to turn 2. Where does time go!! It simply flies by you that's for sure.
My life has been turned upside in the last year and now for a change it's starting to look up. I'm in turmoil right now but things WILL get better. I just know it. I'm not quite sure whe but they will. Since the new year is upon us I have decided to take a different route in life. Slow down, process my life differently, and get away from that hurried feelign that I have 99% of the time. Losing my mother on mother's day this past yr really threw my in a downward spin. And I finally feel as though I'm getting bac kit. Letting myself go on like I should. it's a very powerful feeling and I'm glad I'm doing it. I have more peace of mind I think. I have time to focus on things I want to do rather then things overbook myself and feel flustered all the time.
One of my best friends gave em this book and I must say it's been a real eye opener for me. I have felt amazed at things in this book and so many thing that ourmention in this book is ME! It's like the author contacted me to write the dang book for her. It's unreal. SO for right now it's my anthem....I read it everynight before bed and honestly it's been nice to have that time to read. I wanna focus on so many different things these days and it's been nice to do so. Still enjoy the thing I enjoy doing but also taking the time to smell the different roses my way.
Perfect.....It let me paste that from the other one. So this is it...the new one. Bookmark it so you can keep up with us. :)
